The Ahrensburg Youth Music support all school and youth orchestras in the Ahrensburg area, especially the three youth orchestras of Ahrensburg.
In the Eduard Söring auditorium of the Stormarnschule Secondary school, the three orchestras have been rehearsing and performing for more than 50 years. The Ahrensburg Youth Symphony Orchestra (“Jugend-Sinfonieorchester Ahrensburg”, “JSOA”) and its two preliminary orchestras (which also have full symphonic instrumentation) currently allow approx. 150 musically interested children and young adults between 9 and 27 years from the county of Stormarn and from Hamburg to jointly play in a large orchestra.
